Introducing the January Repete Pet of the Month 🐾

Meet Chain O’ Lakes Georgia Peach, known as Bella! This 7-year-old Portuguese Water Dog, with her wavy coat, is a bundle of joy and energy. If the breed sounds unfamiliar, you might recall that President Obama famously had two Portuguese Water Dogs during his time in office.

Bella made a 7-hour journey from Traverse City, Michigan, to join her family in Wisconsin, just two weeks after they lost their beloved dog, Zoom, another PWD. She quickly filled their hearts with love and laughter.

Not just a pretty face, Bella has earned American Kennel Club awards for Canine Good Citizen, Novice Trick Dog, and Intermediate Trick Dog. She’s also dabbled in nose work, agility, and rally, showcasing her love for performing.

At home, Bella is a great helper, especially with laundry. She loves picking socks out of the dryer and handing them to her mom. She’s known as the ‘sock bandit,’ amusing guests by finding their socks as if they were hidden treasures. Bella also has a special attachment to her stuffed animals, always carrying one in her mouth as if it were her baby.

Bella is a familiar face at the Repete office, often accompanying her mom and wandering around to greet everyone.  She has a habit of sneaking into meetings and sitting quietly at the table waiting to inject her thoughts.

Recently, Bella’s family moved to a lake house, where she fully embraces her breed’s love for water. She adores swimming and has been trained to ‘ask permission’ before jumping in. Bella’s antics never fail to bring a smile to people’s faces. She’s a true character and her zest for life makes her a beloved member of her family!
