Pet of the Month: September
09/03/2025Introducing the October Repete Pet of the Month: Remy!
Say hello to Remy—short for Remington Steele—an 8-month-old Australian Shepherd pup. He’s playful, affectionate, and a bit of a clown, reminding his owners of Doug from Up—easily distracted and always eager for love.
Remy is the definition of a happy little shadow, following his half-sister, Hazel’s, every move. While they share the same dad, Remy is expected to outgrow her by about 20 pounds—which could make playtime even more interesting in the future!
He’s clever, too: he’s already figured out how to ring the bell to go outside and get Hazel to follow him… only to dart back in and steal whatever toy she was playing with.
When the humans play fetch with the two of them, Remy mirrors whatever Hazel is doing—but often skips the toy entirely just to grab her fur or rest his head on her back, ready to spring into action the moment she does.
Remy loves snuggling with his stuffies, impressively drops the ball when asked, and—unlike many pups his age—actually lets his toys live to see another day. One thing he hasn’t quite figured out? That cats don’t appreciate being chased. A recent failed attempt landed him in an emergency room with a cone and a few weeks of eye drops—but true to form, he bounced back to being his normal, goofy, loving self, who still hasn’t learned not to chase the cats.
Having energetic herding dogs might mean you’re never alone again (not even in the bathroom), but if you’re up for nonstop love, sass, and companionship, Remy makes the perfect case for saying yes.
Join us in celebrating this goofy, loveable pup as our October Pet of the Month!
