As the original deadline of Sept. 17, 2017 loomed, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it would delay Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) inspections for hazard analysis and risk-based preventive controls requirements for large animal food facilities until the fall of 2018. Even with the extension, many companies are still struggling to prepare. Now is a great time to take a moment to see if your facilities are ready for an inspection.
